(A) D’ Umami Tomato Rice

(A) D' Umami Tomato Rice
Ingredients:
2 cups

Basmati rice grain, washed & drained

1 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp Ghee
2 cups Water
˝ cup Evaporated milk
2 Tomato, cut into cubes
3 tbsp Tomato puree
   
X:
100g Onion, sliced
3cm Cinnamon stick
3 Star anise
4 Clove
3 Cardamom seeds
10g/2cm Ginger, grated
1 clove Garlic, grated

 

Y:
2 tbsp TUMIX® Chicken Stock Seasoning
Some AJI-SHIO® Iodised Table Salt to taste

 


Methods:

(1) Heat butter & ghee in a saucepan. Add in onion, sauté until fragrant.

(2) Add in all the other ingredients (X) & sauté for about 1-2 min.

(3) Pour in water and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil.

(4) Add in tomato puree, tomato cubes, rice grain & seasoning (Y).

(5) Transfer the rice grain mixture to electrical rice cooker then start cooking until the rice is cooked.

(6) Fluff the rice and serve warm with Arab Style Chicken.
